We’re looking back at an insightful round of the Clinical Conference in Northern Europe. This year’s conference focused on making better eye care accessible to the many. All optometrists, opticians, optical dispensers, ophthalmologists, eye doctors and other eye care professionals where invited to work together on this ambitious aim. If we keep on learning, share our knowledge and improve our skills, we can further shape the future of eye care and make a real difference in eye health.
All Clinical Conferences featured their own programme with local speakers on eye care topics, however some speakers went to all events locations to lecture on their respective fields. Robert Andersson and Gustav Brinkby gave a live demonstration in advanced slit-lamp management. Tor Paaske Utheim spoke about dry eye disease, which is still underdiagnosed and undertreated. And Philip Morgan presented the opportunities we have when it comes to multifocal contact lenses.
Hearing care in the Netherlands
At the Dutch conference, audiologists, audiology students, and other hearing care professionals could participate in a separate programme focused on the best hearing care for everyone. To be able to offer this, cooperation between hearing care professionals, hearing aid manufacturers and other healthcare providers is important. If we keep on learning, share our knowledge and improve our skills, we can respond to the needs of the customer, make the right diagnosis and ultimately find the right hearing solution.
