Clinical Green Club event: Update your knowledge with Kjell Gunnar Gundersen

7 November | Harry Pepper | Stavanger, Norway

On 7 November from 18:00 Specsavers kick off a clinical event at Harry Pepper in Stavanger. In cooperation with Øyelegene AS and Théa, Specsavers Green Club invites you all to an evening of lectures and discussions on cataract surgery, glaucoma and dry eyes by ophthalmologists Kjell Gunnar Gundersen from IFOCUS øyeklinikk and Kaare Vigander from Øyelegene AS.

Jon Gjelle of Specsavers will give an insight in what the future of optometry will hold, and how Specsavers is preparing.

This evening will give you all the opportunity to ask your questions, or discuss topics with your peers.

Clinical Green Club event: A new era in the optical field with Juha Päällysaho

31 October | Radisson Blue Plaza | Helsinki, Finland

On 31 October from 17:30 Specsavers kick off a clinical event at the Radisson Blue Plaza in Helsinki, were Juha Päällysaho will lecture about a new era in the optical field: from optician to a digital optometrist; use of new technology in eye care. The optometrist has become increasingly important in providing quality eye care. New technologies give optometrists the opportunity to explore the eye health in ways that were previously thought of as impossible. Juha Päällysaho will give some insight in these developments. 

The optical field is changing, the work of optometrists is constantly developing and cooperation with ophthalmologists is further intensified. Erkki Tala – Country Director Specsavers Finland – will also be speaking about his experiences in the transformation and development of the optical industry in the coming years, and more specifically how Specsavers is prepared for these changes.

This evening will give you all the opportunity to ask your questions, or discuss topics with your peers. You can obviously apply for a CET-point yourself for this evening.

This evening will give you all the opportunity to ask your questions, or discuss topics with your peers. You can obviously earn a CET point for this evening, make sure you have your membership number with you on the day.

The annual Specsavers Clinical Conference is an international conference for all eye- and hearcare professionals.

The Specsavers Green Club will be present at all Clinical Conferences. We will be there to answer any of your questions and show you our upcoming activities. On top of that, we will a fun surprise exclusively for our members!

Professional Advancement Conference (PAC)

21 October 2018 | Birmingham, United Kingdom

Europe’s largest optical clinical conference – held in Birmingham’s on Sunday 21 October – is open to all optical professionals, regardless of where they work, for the third year in a row.

The conference has been attended by more than 2000 optical professionals, looking to gain up to 16 CET points each. Last year has been the largest yet, with a combination of workshops and lectures, delivered by surgeons, academics and leading practitioners.

Danish Optometry Conference (Optometrikonference)

27 – 28 October 2018 | Århus, Denmark

Last year the Optometry Conference was their biggest success with over 500 delegates and a large exhibition area. On 27 – 28 October the event will be hosted again at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia hotel in Århus.
