Do you know if your customers are aware of the hygiene guidelines for contact lens wear? And how do you make sure that they follow these guidelines during challenging times like COVID-19?
In this recorded webinar, Neil Retallic (European Professional Services Director, Menicon) and Didrika Thulin (Nordic Key Account Manager, Menicon) discussed our customers’ behaviour when it comes to soft contact lens wear – especially how they shouldn’t use and treat their lenses. They explored how to use these learnings in line with the latest guidance on COVID-19, how to teach the customer better hygiene routines and to make better use of their contact lenses.

This module is currently being reviewed by the governing body in The Netherlands (Stichting ADAP). As soon as the accreditation has been approved, the CET point will be added to your personal account. As we have not yet received the confirmation, we cannot guarantee that the module will be accredited. We do know that this module have been approved by the General Optical Council (GOC) in the UK, which up to now has resulted in an accreditation in The Netherlands as well.
For optometrists in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland the module is already accredited. For this webinar optometrists from the UK can also complete the quiz for CET points. Please make sure that your GOC number is filled in on your profile.
About Neil Retallic

Neil Retallic is a GOC registered optometrist working as the European Professional Services Director for Menicon, and an assessor and examiner for the College of Optometrists. His previous roles include Professional Services Manager for CooperVision, Learning and Development Manager for Vision Express, Optometry Teaching Fellow for the University of Manchester and Visiting Lecturer at Aston University. He has been involved with various organisations across the sector, and is currently part of the GOC Education and Standards Committee, Chair of the BCLA Education Committee and immediate Past Chair of the British and Irish University and College Contact Lens Educators. He has been awarded fellowships from the BCLA and IACLE.
About Didrika Thulin
Didrika has worked within the contact lens industry for the past ten years as a customer-focused technical professional. She has worked for various contact lens companies, both in the UK and across Europe, in a variety of roles including customer services, managing the Nordic business, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, Business Development Manager. She is currently the Key Account Manager at Menicon for the Nordic countries.
Didrika has created and delivered contact lens education to both retail and clinical teams on numerous contact lens topics and at international conferences. She has been responsible for introducing quality assurance/control protocols to provide the best support to internal teams, stakeholders and customers. She has a proven track record of maximising sales and supporting businesses to increase their contact lens share by focusing on in-store training and communication with product features and consumer benefits.
